Each Catalogue offers an extensive set of data attributes for each component. It includes its PDF specifications sheet, 2D symbol ISO 1219:2012 compliant, images, technical data, commercial information, simulation model(s), virtual test bench(es) and use cases showing that the component behaves according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Furthermore, a Product Configurator is also available, allowing the user to build the component’s part number as per Norgren’s ordering code information. Once the configuration process is completed, a valid part number with all of its corresponding product characteristics is generated. For instance, in the case of the valve product showed in the figure above, the options to choose the desired pressure setting, flow setting, port type, control option and more, are available. The product information, technical data and symbol get updated according to the selected options. The configuration tool is available in both pneumatic and electrical catalogues. Users may simply drag and drop the desired component from the Catalogue into the Automation Studio™ Editor to build their circuit. The component simulation models can be directly used for the design of pneumatic system solutions, simulating and monitoring in Automation Studio™ and, ultimately, use the model for digital twin projects. “The Norgren Catalogue has long been awaited by the Automation Studio ™ users’ community. Application engineers and pneumatics experts can now take advantage of high-quality virtual products and components in this Catalogue to quickly create motion and fluid control system solutions, simulation tests or training content. This Catalogue is the first for the Norgren global product portfolio. The development of the catalogues covering the remaining product lines is already started and they will be made available shortly”, says Richard Gagné, Quality Manager, Famic Technologies Inc. Developed and certified in accordance with Famic Technologies’ Quality System, the Norgren Catalogue is now available to the entire Automation Studio™ users’ community. Learn more!
