Windows Server required
Andon Studio™ is a client-server system; a Windows Server edition is required to host the server.
SQL Server database
Requires either an existing SQL Server instance or the free SQL Server Express, available from Microsoft.
Virtual Machine installation
If installed on a virtual machine, USB license keys are not supported. A network license hosted by Famic Technologies will be provided instead.
Push notifications
For on-premise installations, the client must create a Google Firebase account to enable push notifications to the mobile app.
Network configuration
The default setup is designed for use in a Windows domain environment. If the server is part of a workgroup, additional manual configuration will be required.
Administrator rights required
The user performing the installation must have administrator privileges on the server.
IT resources recommended
If the client lacks internal IT support, we recommend hosting the system at Famic Technologies. Annual hosting fees apply.
