Managing Manufacturing Operations
A new tab on the operator display enables the operator to easily view the list of
operations destined for his production zone.
By selecting one of them, he can display its information in real time and manage the
associated tasks.
In particular, he can view estimated completion times for tasks, operations and work
orders in real time.
The execution times of each work order, operation and task are monitored, so that alarms
can be issued in the event of deviation.
These alarms can be used in workflows to issue notifications, write to variables or any
other action available in the workflow manager.
Follow-up of Work Orders and Manufacturing Operations
A display available in Andon Studio™ Operations and Manager makes it possible to monitor
the execution of work orders and manufacturing operations in real time, in the form of a
Gantt chart refreshed in real time.
In particular, this display makes it easy to view machine status and operators for each
operation, on a timeline.
Users can compare actual production with planning, and see the estimated finish time for
each operation and work order.
Monitoring of Execution
New workflow activities allow you to monitor the execution of work orders and
manufacturing operations. Many detection conditions are configurable.
Upon entering the configured condition (for example: the execution of a manufacturing
operation exceeded its planned duration by 10%), an action can be taken through the
workflow. This can, for example, send an alert message via the Andon Studio™ Mobile
application or email or write to a PLC variable to activate an output (light, siren,
etc.).
Work Orders and Manufacturing Operations Editor
As a replacement for an ERP system or for educational purposes, with version 4.0 we are
offering a work orders and manufacturing operations editor.
This tool enables you to create and update work orders and manufacturing operations for
two types of production: batch or individual parts. In the latter, each part to be
produced is identified and associated with a specific production task that can be
monitored.
Contextual Operation Documents
A new display lets you define documents and associate filter criteria with them, such as:
operation types, task types, product types, machine types, machine models, sites,
products, roles or validity period.
These filter criteria can be combined, enabling the system to present only the relevant
documents contextually to those involved while manufacturing operations are carried out.
New Reports
Two new reports enable you to generate statistics on the execution of work orders and
manufacturing operations.
The first presents a list of work orders, with details for each one. A visual performance
indicator provides a quick overview of work orders that have exceeded user-defined
thresholds.
The second shows the distribution of work orders or manufacturing operations that exceed
planned durations. The history includes several variations, depending on what the user
wishes to visualize.
Generic Synchronizer with OFBIZ Plugin
A new bi-directional generic synchronizer supports the addition of plugins to interface
with any type of system, enabling, among other things, the automatic synchronization of
sites, equipment, products, orders and planned manufacturing operations from ERP systems
to Andon Studio™, and then returning actual information to them such as status,
duration, production counts, rejects, remanufacturing or any other information deemed
relevant.
An initial plugin is supplied with version 4.0, enabling interfacing with the Open Source
ERP OFBiz. Integration with other ERPs such as SAP is currently underway.
Mapping with External System Entities
A new display allows you to view and configure mappings between Andon Studio™ entities
and those of external systems. If the synchronizer is configured to create entities in
Andon Studio™ from an ERP or other system, mappings are created automatically, but it is
also possible to disable them if required. Each entity from an external system can also
be easily remapped to another Andon Studio™ entity of the same type by a simple
drag-and-drop operation.
Association of Products to Production Machines
A view has been added to easily visualize and configure the associations between products
and production machines grouped by production lines.
Services Restart
In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to stop or restart web or Windows® services
on the main Andon Studio™ server.
In previous versions, only authorized IT staff were able to do this, which could cause
delays.
To facilitate system support, we've added a new screen that allows authorized Andon
Studio™ administrators to do this themselves.
Two-factor Authentication
For enhanced security, you now have the option of using two-factor authentication. This
means that following successful authentication by a user, the system sends them a code
by e-mail, which they must then enter before gaining access to the system.
When this option is configured at system level for access to the various modules, the
administrator has the option of enabling or disabling it on a finer-grained basis for
each workflow activity, or for switching from one display zone to another.
